Mile High Academy has partnered with the SFFC Foundation to offer two service-oriented scholarship programs providing tuition assistance:
PFE Program:
- K-8 Program: $30 scholarship per visit
- 9-12 Program: $800 scholarship per semester
Students are paired with elderly adults in the MHA community, spending an hour or more engaging in activities like visiting, reading, playing games, and light chores. This program:
- Brings joy and improves the quality of life for the elderly.
- Teaches students the importance of service.
- Fosters intergenerational relationships, allowing students to learn from the wisdom and mentorship of the elderly.
TCH Program:
The TCH program pairs academy students with elementary students for weekly tutoring sessions, overseen by a local TCH Coordinator. This program aims to inspire students to pursue careers in education and join the Adventist Education Team.
- Scholarship Amount: $40 per week
- Requirements:
- Tutors must complete 2 hours of tutoring per week.
- Tutees are enrolled in Curriculum Associates i-Ready programming.
- Tutoring is proctored and not during classroom time.
- TCH Tutor’s Scholarship is fully funded by SFFC Foundation for the 2024-2025 term.
